We are about to conclude our inaugural season and we want to thank those
who have participated and those who will. NM cycling is growing - in all disciplines, but especially in the strength and numbers
in endurance events. We have worked hard to provide quality rides in an increasingly difficult format, not just in distance,
but in vertical challenge as well. We also want to expose many NM riders to new countryside and low traffic volume riding.
We choose mountains and rural and as a nation, we should enjoy it while we still have it. People in the country love
to see you out there enjoying for a day what take for granted until they see you there. The waves and encouragements
are disproportionate w/ the occasional ... threatened I guess, individual. Engage rural drivers and you will be surprised.
Rural NM is a great place to ride...long and hard. We will continue to add events throughout the year so that we have a northern and southern set of ACP series.
Riding brevets puts a whole new perspective on the time/distance/vertical continuum. We ride long all year and hope you will
too. We are aiming for the next Paris - Brest - Paris '11 - in a tandem supreme. Yet, the only goal is the next step - yours. John and Lizz Mazzola
